The inaugural FDH Bank Premiership season has become the earliest in the last three campaigns to lose its last remaining unbeaten team after FCB Nyasa Big Bullets suffered their first defeat of the season in Matchweek 11.
Bullets’ unbeaten run came to an end with an away defeat to Goshen City Dedza Dynamos, leaving the league without an unbeaten side after just 11 rounds of fixtures.
The trend contrasts with previous two seasons. In 2025, Mighty Wanderers remained the league’s last unbeaten side until Matchweek 26 before losing away to Mzuzu City Hammers. A season earlier, Silver Strikers’ unbeaten run ended in Matchweek 29 with an away defeat to FOMO, a week after they had sealed the 2024 league title.
The comparison highlights the competitiveness of the 2026/27 FDH Bank Premiership, with every team having tasted defeat after just 11 Matchweeks a much earlier point than in the previous two campaigns.
