Pointless Creck Sporting, Songwe Boarder and Mighty Tigers will all go into action this weekend in search of their first point of the season.
The three sides together with Civil United (on bye this weekend) have had a rough ride in the opening two weeks of the 2025 season as they are yet to collect a point from a possible 6.
Creck Sporting are the early history makers as they have conceded 8 goals in 2 games and this Sunday they are on the road to Nankhaka Stadium to face Blue Eagles FC.
Action in week three starts on Saturday as MAFCO FC welcome the unpredictable Kamuzu Barracks FC at Chitowe Stadium in a battle of brothers in arms.
Both teams are coming from defeats in Match week two as MAFCO went down 0-1 to Karonga United while Kamuzu Barracks were humbled 0-2 at home by fellow soldiers Moyale Barracks.
The MAFCO-KB fixture is the only game scheduled for Saturday as action will return 24 hours later with table topping FCB Nyasa Big Bullets welcoming the pointless Songwe Boarder United at Kamuzu stadium.
Bullets assumed pole position last Wednesday with a resounding 4-1 home victory over Creck Sporting and Coach Peter Mponda will be hoping that his charges build on that impressive performance to cement their grip at the top of the log table.
For Songwe, they continue their search for maximum points having gone down to Moyale FC and Blue Eagles in their first two fixtures of top flight football.
Elsewhere at Nankhaka, Joseph Kamwendo’s pointless Creck FC play guest to Blue Eagles who are oozing with confidence following their last weekend’s triumph over Songwe Boarder.
Creck’s start to the season will be one to forget as the Lilongwe based side has conceded 8 goals in two games in which they have only managed to score 2.
Sunday’s fixture piles more pressure on head coach Joseph Kamwendo who is yet to win a competitive match with his new side which he adopted from Macdonald Mtetemera who was shown the exit door last season.
For Blue Eagles, they will aim to continue collecting maximum pints at home to avoid their 2023 scenario in which they were relegated from the top flight league.
Experience has proven to be key to Eliah Kananji’s side as the squad boasts of faces that have played together for close to 10 seasons in the elite league.

We finish Match week three action on Ester Monday with high flying Ekhaya United playing away to Chitipa United while struggling Mighty Tigers are at home to face Dedza Dynamos at Kamuzu Stadium.
Ekhaya Fc have had a perfect start to life in the elite league having collected maximum points in their opening two fixtures and are yet to concede in those two matches.
As for Chitipa they are coming into this fixture straight from a weekend in which they managed to frustrate defending Champions Silver Strikers to a 2-2 draw at home.
At Kamuzu Stadium, Tigers FC coach Leo Mpulula will be searching for his first points of the season having gone 2 games without a win.
The KauKau boys nearly pulled a shocker last weekend as they managed to score 2 goals in the dying minutes of their 2-3 defeat to Mighty Wanderers at Kamuzu Stadium.
Coach Mpulula’s optimism will be that his boys build on that impressive second half display against Wanderers to collect maximum over Dedza Dynamos who are also coming from defeat at home to Mzuzu Hammers.
Its redemption time in match week 3 as the battle for maximum points continues.
