BULLETS GO TOP

edge past Civo in a 7 goal thriller

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets moved back to the top of the TNM Super League table following a hard fought 4-3 victory over Civo United at Kamuzu Stadium on
Sunday afternoon.

Bullets were coming into the match occupying second position,2 points behind leaders Mighty Wanderers who drew 2-2 with Silver Strikers on
Saturday.

On Sunday afternoon, the People’s team went behind inside the first 10 minutes as striker Chikaiko Batison gave the visitors the lead.

However that lead was short-lived as Peter Banda levelled matters after 16 minutes of play.

Chikaiko Batison was not in a compromising mood as he put the Servants ahead again after 27 minutes but again Bullets were on level terms 37
minutes into the first half, this time courtesy of Chikumbutso Salima.

It was now the turn for Bullets to take the lead for the first time in the match and that decisive goal had to come and it came from Chikumbutso
Salima again after 44 minutes, ensuring that the hosts go on recess in the lead.

Come second half, Salima continued from where he had left off in the first half, completing his hattrick after 55 minutes to open up a 2 goal cushion.

Civil crawled their way back into the match and their hard work paid off on 71 minutes as Batison completed his hattrick to set up an exciting end to
the match.

The Civil servants who had coach Abbas Makawa sent off for unsporting behaviour tried all they could to force an equalizer but all that was in
vain as the Bullets defense stood firm.

At the blow of the final whistle, it was jubilation for the red and white faithful’s as their team climbed back to the top of the log at least for now.

For Civil, defeat has dented their aspirations of a top 4 finish.

In other fixtures, Goshen City Dedza Dynamos increased their chances of survival with a convincing 3-0 victory over relegated Songwe Boarder. Former
Bullets striker Luke Chima made history for himself as he became the first player to score a hattrick in the TNM Super League this season.

At Nankhaka Stadium Moyale Barracks claimed all maximum points over Blue Eagles following a 2-1 victory while in Mzuzu the spoils were shared
between relegation candidates Mafco FC and Mzuzu Hammers in a 0-0 draw.
