HISTORY MAKING WEEKEND

AsĀ  Mwanza district host first ever top flight match.

Mighty Wanderers begin their title defence with an away trip as they travel to Mchinji to face Creck Sporting at Aubrey Dimba Stadium.

On Sunday they face a Creck Sporting side that drew against Red Lions in their opening match of the season.

Having lost a number of key players during the season, Sunday’s fixture will serve as a test for head coach Bob Mpinganjira to try and see which combinations would best work well this season.

The Nomads’ major changes would be their defence set-up the where highly rated Peter N’gambi who joined from Civil Service United to replace Lawrence Chaziya who left for Zimbabwe.

In attack, the Nomads also should brace themselves to start life without versatile winger Wisdom Mpinganjira who left for Mozambique.

As for Creck, head coach Eliah Kananji has a majority of the squad he assembled last season with the only notable departure being that of striker George Chaomba who joined FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.
