Mighty Wanderers forward Lameck Mithi has been named FDH Bank Premiership Player of the Month for May after an outstanding run of performances that helped inspire his side during the opening weeks of the season.
Mithi beat competition from Silver Strikers’ Ernest Petro and Blue Eagles’ Webster Nzunda to claim the monthly accolade.
The forward enjoyed an impressive month, featuring in all six league matches and scoring five goals. He also became the second player this season to register a hat-trick and earned one Man of the Match award for his influential displays.
His goals and consistency have been instrumental in Mighty Wanderers’ strong start to the campaign, earning him the league’s first Player of the Month award of the season.
As the winner, Mithi receives a cash prize of K300,000 in recognition of his outstanding performances.
