The Super League of Malawi (SULOM) President Colonel Gilbert Mittawa met FIFA President Gianni Infantino and the FIFA delegation after his official visit to the country.
A number of activities were aligned for the visit; however, due to the death of State Vice President, Right Honourable Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima, and eight others, the program was revised.
The FIFA President paid homage to the State President, Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, and thereafter he consoled Madam Mary Chilima and the bereaved family.
In his remarks Mittawa Said ” It was a great honor to meet with the President and we have shared with him our vision towards football in the country and he has pledged support”
This was the first time for Gianni Infantino to visit the country.
