NO THROUGH ROAD

Bankers frustrate Wanderers’ tittle aspirations.

Not today maybe tomorrow. Silver Strikers twice came from behind to force a 2-2 draw against league leaders Mighty Wanderers.
A win for the Lali Lubani boys could have seen the Bob Mpinganjira troops open a 4 point gap over noisy neighbors FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.

Centre back Peter Cholopi took matters in his own hands as early as as 4 minutes but that premature lead was cut short after 36 minutes through a
Binwell Katinji stunner.

Half time, it was stalemate and a result was badly needed on both ends.

Heads rolled and substitutions were made.

Veteran forward Muhammad showed experience over class as he gifted the nomads the lead 3 minutes into the second half, handing the Bankers some
homework.

Heads had to roll in area 47 and tactical permutations spearheaded by head coach Peter Mgangira paid dividend after 55 minutes when the Bankers were
awarded a penalty which was coolly slotted home by Katinji.

Both teams went out in search for a killer punch which never came.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Ekhaya FC enhanced their top 4 finish chances with 3-0 victory over Chitipa United.
