SULOM Disburses First Tranche of TNM Subvention Funds to Super League Teams

The Super League of Malawi (SULOM) is pleased to announce the payment of the first tranche of the TNM subvention funds to all the 16 teams in the Super League. Each team is supposed to get a total of K20 million towards subvention funds. Half of that money is coming from sponsors TNM while the other half is coming from the Football Association of Malawi.

SULOM has disbursed K5 million to each club from the K10 million they are to receive from sponsors TNM. The second trance of the money is paid in the second round.

Recently the league governing body paid the teams K5million each which is FAM subvention funds. In total the teams have received K10 million kwacha towards subvention funds.

Sponsors TNM Plc have for the past 17 years generously offered financial support to the elite league. Demonstrating their unwavering commitment to the development and promotion of football in Malawi, TNM increased the sponsorship to a whooping K500,000,000.00million in the 2024 season from K150,000,000,00 last season.

The subvention funds are expected to significantly aid the clubs in enhancing the overall competitiveness of the league. The financial injection will empower the clubs to perform at their highest potential, providing thrilling and high-quality football for fans across the nation.
