The Super League of Malawi (SULOM) on Saturday convened a General Coordinators workshop at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe as part of its preparations for the upcoming 2026/27 FDH Bank Premiership season.
The workshop brought together General Coordinators from the Northern and Central regions, providing a platform to reinforce the critical role coordinators play in ensuring the smooth running of the premiership fixtures.

Speaking during the session, SULOM’s Vice President Ronald Chiwaula emphasized the vital responsibility entrusted to General Coordinators describing them as the backbone of effective game management.
“the GCs are the custodian of the game that is why we needed to empower them so that they are on top of the game by executing their duties with precision, integrity, discipline, deep sense of responsibility and professionalism” said Chiwaula
He further noted that the GCs are central to the delivering a seamless matchday experience which aligns with the new sponsors expectations.
The workshop covered key areas like preparations before and after the games, digital reporting system, matchday protocols, coordination with all stakeholder and handling matchday incidents. Participants also engaged in discussions aimed at sharing experiences and addressing challenges faced in previous seasons.
SULOM is expected to continue the initiative with a similar workshop scheduled for Tuesday in Blantyre, targeting General Coordinators from the Southern Region.
