TWO CHARGED OVER ILLEGAL SALE OF TNM SUPER LEAGUE MATCH TICKETS.

On Saturday the 11th of May 2024, Mr. Francis Danger, aged 24, from Village Konzere T/A Ngabu District Chikwawa, and Mr. Samson White, aged 35, from Village Kumbani T/A Stola District Machinga, were apprehended and jointly charged with the offence of being found in possession of property suspected to be stolen, contravening section 329 as read with section 34 of the penal code.

The two individuals were discovered engaging in the illegal sale of Matchday tickets for the game involving Mighty Mukuru Wanderers and Karonga United.

Following their arrest, Mr. Danger and Mr. White appeared before the Blantyre Resident Magistrate Court. The court proceedings have been adjourned to a later date, which will be communicated in due course. Both individuals have been granted court bail.

The Super League of Malawi (SULOM) would like to remind all stakeholders that the illegal sale of Matchday tickets for elite league matches without following proper procedures, is a punishable offence under the law and may result in criminal prosecution.

We reiterate our commitment to maintaining the integrity of the league and urge all parties involved to adhere to the prescribed regulations.
