UNSTOPPABLE BULLETS

Midfielder Mike Mkwate scored his first super league goal in over 3 seasons as league leaders FCB Nyasa Big Bullets cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over struggling Chitipa United at Kamuzu Stadium to maintain a 3 point gap at the summit of the log table.

Mkwate was handed his first start of the season and he made full use of it as at 36 minutes he gifted the Peter Mponda led troops the lead and thats how the 2 sides finished the first half.

Come second half both teams made substitutions but it was Bullets’ substitutions that proved vital as Nigerian forward Babatunde Adepoju led a late onslaught to ensure that the People’s team maintain their perfect start to the season in which they have now won 5 out 5 and have just conceded once scoring 16 in the process.

Adepoju was first on target at 85 minutes before completing his brace on the dot of full time.

The win means Bullets have now opened a 3 point lead over rivals Mighty Wanderers who occupy second position with 12 points.

As for Chitipa they now occupy position 13th position a place just above the drop zone.
